Traxxas Summit New Truck -

Looks interesting enough.
I like the remote locking differentials and changeable 75:1 and 25:1 final drive ratios.
The 775 motor looks interesting but I think BL would be better for sure. I also dig the body and LED's.

That is cool, I may have to get one. I would like to see two of the 775 motors though.

Not impressed. It's an E-Revo with some lipstick on it to make you think it's capable of crawling.

I kinda like it. Wonder if the tranny and remote locking diffs can hang with a 1515 Neu?

Although this truck has very cool features, I wish Traxxas would build a whole new truck around these features (locking diffs, lights, exo cage, transmission, etc.). They are starting to turn into Losi with just redesigning an already built truck... Still have to say though that the features Traxxas thought of are VERY cool.

Although its a cool truck, I totally agree with you. I will they would come out with a totally different vehicle instead or always "re-designing".
I will spank a nitro any day...guaranteed. :)

I look at it as more cool parts for my Revo...
Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

What do you mean "traxxas turning into Losi"? Traxxas has rehashed most of their current line more than Losi has, and for longer.
My opinion, I like the summit. I really don't do much for trail running and i don't do crawling, but i can appricate the engineering to bring it to market.
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

What I mean is that Losi has used the same basic platform for many vehicles. For example, the LST2, Aftershock, and Raminator are all VERY similar and have the same basic design/layout. Same with their 1/18 models, MLST, Mini Raminator, etc. And now Traxxas uses the same platform to make another similar vehicle. Traxxas did this much better than Losi did however in my opinion, as they actually made some pretty big changes... just not as many as I'd like to see.

Agree - Locking diffs are a nice touch but a revo is not really a crawler platform - I'm amazed that this is their crawler solution - I though more like losi or duratrax.

I don't get the whole redesigning bashing. Every stinking RC company out there does this. How many versions of the savage has their been, not to mention touring cars, and others. It's not just losi and TRX, it's everyone.

I understand why a company comes out with a "better" version of the same truck over the years, but what I get tired of is a company using the same parts/platform for vehicle after vehicle. (the Summit is basically a rock crawler converted E-Revo, the Slayer is basically a "stubby" Revo, the Slash is basically a Rustler with a different chassis/body). Now, don't get me started on Losi.
Don't get me wrong, I love all of Traxxas' vehicles, I just wish they put more creativity into them. ;)
I will spank a nitro any day...guaranteed. :)
