Revo Redo - 10.28.2008, 04:53 PM

Started out to do a 3.3 conversion in a platinum chassis but never liked how it looked with the batteries on ones side and the motor on the other. It just didn't have balance to me and I lost interest. So a bought an erevo chassis and tranny and the transformation is complete. So the 3.3 tranny and platinum chassis will go up for sale.

It has JD carbon push rods, tie rods, and hinge pins all around (except for a front push rod that broke). The shocks are off a platinum revo as well as the diffs and arms. Everything else is pretty much the same as any other revo.

I converted the maxx back to titan power to have something for rookie drivers to toy with. I got tired of explaining to them to be careful and so forth and this to me was the easiest way.

The Tekno Neu found it's way over with the MMM. I just wish that traxxas had made the battery trays about 5mm thicker to allow more battery options but I will just deal with the gap. So on with the madatory pictures. Crowd Pleazer 2.0 body outlaw black with no decals and red windows backed in black. I like the clean look without the decals so that is why it is what it is. BTW the stock maxx tires/wheels are on for the pics just because I like how they look.

Green ones, Flightpowers of some sort would be my guess.

Looks fine- a velcro strap or similar will secure the lipos, either with or without the doors in place. I too think traxxas should have made the battery compartments large or more adjustable, but alas, cant be helped.

i always thought that a body looks best without a crazy amount of decals. maybe throw an RCM sticker on there but other than that its perfect.

revo looks great.

I took it out already, they're just too thick or better yet the tray is made too small.

Thanks for the compliments from everyone. As soon as that hold down for the MMM is released by traxxas I will be adding one for sure but everything is pretty clean so far.

Nice E-Revo.

I only have one negative - shouldn't posts like these be in a different forum. We really need to better about posting our new threads and where we stick them. This one should have been in the Revo forum.

Nice rig. Are you going to use a different set of wheels and tires?

The revo forum gets little traffic and that is why I posted here. Everyone posts their brushless everything else here so I figured this was better. I personally would just assume the Revo Forum be combined into this one.

Yes but I want something different than my bowties. I like the badlands except they are too narrow for my tastes and I like the Moabs but they are rather large. I am considering some Imex Swamp Dawgs. I sold my rims with my Savage Tires and Mashers and wish I hadn't have now. They where both good for their purposes.

I might have a set of those...If I can remember, I'll check. They are either the swamp dawgs or the jumbo tires they sold.
