I just took my truck for a little run in my back yard and hit the curb on the left front wheel. I was in second gear and i knew as soon as i was gonna hit it that i would be lucky if nothin happened. But i heard a big snap and the lower piviot ball snapped and is now stuck in the arm. I dont think i can get this out cause i used locktight, and i used quite a bit. Sucks cause i was just saving up for brushless but now i'll have to probably get some titanium piviot balls(is this a good idea?) and another lower arm, i think i might have bent the upper hinge pin aswell cause the upper arm doesnt move up and down freely anymore. By the way I was using the stock piviot balls.

Don't you have the fastlane arms? I think the titanium are lighter and stronger than stock. Maybe you could try a warranty if it is fastlane.

Titanium is a no no since it'll snap instead of bend. Steel one's are the way to go.

Try to drill them out. If it's steel there's no problem, i've done this myself 2 time's without a problem.(stocker's) You take a 2,5 mm drill bit, drill into it and then take a tap and tap into it. When your done tapping, insert a screw and screw it tight. If all goes well, try unscrewing and with a bit of luck come's the pillow ball out.(or what's left of it)

If the tapping went well but the unscrewing didn't, you could try and use red locktite on the screw your inserting into what's left of the pb and wait for it to dry. Also a tip to get threadlock loose is to heat it(carefully).

Titanium is actually a good idea. It won't snap, but will bend. The nice thing is that it won't stay bent, but will go back into its original shape (unlike aluminum).

Instead of tapping, you can go to the hardware store and get an EZ-out, which is a special drill bit thingy that has a counter thread on it so that when the drill is spinning in reverse the EZ-out is tightening onto whatever is being pulled out.

No metalmen, titanium isn't that good.. With aluminum arms, i would not take titanium balls. it will bent and get back to it's original shape, but the movement it can make is very small. It will break at some point. steel is the best material for pillowballs in combination with aluminium arms. The UE's have got a hex on both sides. if they brake, you can still get them out.

i would try the ez-out first and if its flush then take a dremel and make a flatspot on the end and use a screwdriver to take it out.

i think i'll take it to work on monday cause theres a guy at work and he has a workshop and he makes all the machinery etc blah blah so i'll ask him if he can get it out, im sure he can, i'll tell him about the dremel idea.

Ok i got the pillow ball out, that guy just used a drill and it came out. So i went home an i tried to get the upper arm off but the hinge pin was stuck REAL GOOD! it took some baby oil, vice grips, and some pliers to get it out. i thought it was just the hinge pin that was bent but it is also the arm! i cant get a hinge pin through the holes cause they dont line up. I'm a bit dissapointed cause i havent ran them much and i didnt think that a FLM arm would bend in that crash. Whats the warrenty on them? isnt it $8 for a new one? I cant really remember if you have to send it back? hope not cause it will cost me about $15 to send it cause i live overseas.
