BL E-zilla , BK 7020/9L possible? - 12.01.2005, 05:30 AM

Hello,

I own an HB E-zilla and I want to go brushless...

It is stock with 13cm diameter tires, 66T spur and 20T pinion (1/8 shaft), weights 4.3 kg.

Will work this set-up?: BK 7020 (only 70 Amps) and a Feigao 9L.

The batteries are LRP 3.000mA 6 Paks and LRP 3.300mA 7 cells packs.

I have a motor heatsink/fan . Should I install a ESC fan, too?

regards.

I forget,,,

Gear ratio is 16.75:1 with the stock 20T pinion.

Welcome to the forum there vwt4.
I would not run this setup. The 9l is fine but I am pretty sure you going to have thermal problems with esc. If you do I would definitely put the fan on esc. You going to have to change the gear ratio as well.

Peace!

Do you think a 19,71:1 gear ratio (with 17t pinion)would be better?
And a 9XL?

thnks.

50km/h would be great!

Then a near 20:1 ratio and a 9XL is a good idea?

With the gearing you have got in mind, it would do 55 km/h.. I would use a 9920 anyway. the XL series can take some serious power for sure.

The e-zilla is 1/10 scale though,i think the stock tyres are more like 2.2" sized?

I'd like to know what the diffs are like on this truck.

In this link:http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_30..._2/key_/tm.htm ,if you scroll down to a pic of it next to what looks like a lightning GT you can see how small it is.I'm not sure i'd want to put an XL motor in it.

I don't like it in general, it's just a cheap ripoff imo, and it is alot like the conversions we did in the beginning with our savage, i don't like the battery packs sticking out under that angle, like they do..
it just doesn't tinker my bells..
