Heres a little info of the build so far. My set up is going to be a MMM with a tekno 15151y(to match)with a 4s 5000 30/60 neu. Had this set-up in my PE Revo which impressed the hell out of me so I can't wait to get this going. I thought I would try the buggy mount but when it was all assembled I was left with no good room to mount the battery. So I'm just waiting for the chassis to come out but till then here are a few pictures.
I have two sets of tires for bashing and racing
Bashing-Mugen 5 spoke with badlands
Racing-LRPs with Crime-fighters
I taped both tires using a clear postal tape with stands of what I think is fiberglass. Badlands went fine but this is my first set of CF so the ribs caught me off guard.
there is no need to tape LPR crime fighters theyll be fine. and your gonna LOVE the truck id suggest 40wt shockoil unless your on a smooth track with big jumps the 50 is a little stiff. also the buggy mount doesnt have enough adjustment so youll like the truggy mount much better and itll lower the motor more.
Thanks for the good info. As of know I built it how it came and was planing adjusting everything when I see how it reacts to the terrain. Its pretty rough so I think 50 should do. And it's all I had. Just a quick question for one of you if you don't mind. Is the Rod end(third to last picture) for the sway bar supposed to be tightened all the way or should it have some play? Thanks
rough terrain and 50 weight will make it handle like crap the rougher the surface the thinner the oil you will want to use. you want the suspension to move not lock up when you hit a bump
cheesecake i was stating that it was soo thick it never even bottomed on out track usally you get a nice chassis slap sound when landing that jump mine never made a sounds just a "wwwwwuuuu"...... so yea thats why it knew it was too thick. and yea like cheesecake said the rougher the lighter the oil, our track was fairly smooth compared to normal so i left mine alone (and i didnt have a full bottle of 40 to change to, it almost takes a whole bottle to fill those huge big bores)
and for the rod end question, i think your refering to the clamp that hold the ball into the arm? then yes just snug it up they still pivot freely, you dont want slack. but dont over tighten them.
Thanks for the 101 on shocks. I'm used to my revo which seemed to want heaver and heaver fluids to get the right compression and rebound. Some great news is Mike got the chassis out and I should have some progress in the next few days

Little update.....Got my chassis Incredible as always. My first impression is that it is very light. Will start the swap a little later on tonight just wanted to show you guys a few pictures.
Will get some more up later with a little write-up.

Dang this build is hot! I drove my first Electric truggy at the track and I was really impressed. It was a Losi 8T, but Im with associated camp so I would be getting a 8T some day.
