i somehow managed to break a hardened steel trans shaft anyone else do this ever? i busted the shaft and ground gears + my spur lost a tooth.
did i do something wrong or just sheer abuse. is there and upgrade?

Well, that's a first. Might have been a weak spot around where the pin hole was.

lol that's 2 first's i have heard from you brian g; last week my clutch pin broke (replaced with allen wrench shaved down) and now this. i must say though the brian g dual pin mod held its own and now this new weak spot reared its evil head.

i am mainly scared when i get a motor suited for my truck as i run a 36-60 2000kv Medusa, my trans will explode

lol, it happens. You fix one weak spot and another shows up. Such is the life of BL. And those nitro guys say electric isn't as powerful...

Once I came up with the locking method and then addressed the weak pins, I never had further problems, so I didn't "fix" anything else. Now it's your turn to come up with ways to address the new weak spots.
