Good 1:8 onroad Tire for Losi 8ight buggy ... - 12.17.2008, 03:04 PM

I am searching for a premounted 1:8 onroad tire for my Losi 8ight buggy ! My favourite is the 9012-00 proline roadrage , but I can´t find a premounted wheel ...

These are awesome onroad tires. Sold out at the moment in the USA, but maybe you can find them somewhere in the EU. Loads better than the road rage. Slightly smaller diameter so you will want to gear up a tooth or 2 to compensate, but they stick and handel far better than roadrage tires.

Another good tire is the Losi rally cross tires. A bit harder than the one I listed above so slightly less traction, but still way better than road rages and they seem to last forever.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I ordered up some of these 17mm OFnas That Ben had posted in this buggy thread LINKY I also head about the ones with belts being real nice if you are looking for real fast top speeds but you have to mount them yourself as far as ive found LINK BElted

I just tried my panther clay slicks w/ ofna medium foam inserts. These are the $HITZ!!! IMPOSSIBLE to lose grip on dry asphalt. I've been in this hobby for 7 years and nothing I've seen comes close. Also they are the lightest tires you can buy at 44g per tire. I also have the soft compound of this tire, but it has less traction on dry asphalt.
