baja 5b conversion. - 12.28.2008, 03:34 AM

i have been thinking about converting my baja 5b to brushless power. i have no clue one what motors or esc or battery setup i should run. or even how i should mount the motor.

does any one have any ideas.

would the hv110 by castle work as a good esc for this thing. and maybe running it on 8cell lipos.

should i go outrunner or inrunner. if a outrunner would any of the kms motors work since i can get them at work.

thanks.

any help would be great. thanks!

here is a link to a build that someone had, and this one was costly but quite fast I am sure

the post in the previous thread was the most recent but the link is to a forum that is in Italian.... he used a heli motor...the problem with heli motors is they max out at 30k rpms, but the stock gas motors also reach thier max rpms lower. The heli motors are also very torquey (8 poles)
