Need Wider Stance - Input? - 12.12.2005, 04:37 AM

I'm running Savage Stub Axles on my Twin Force as well as 40 Series Tires.

To make the story short, the 40 series rims I was using (19mm Hex Thunder Quake) will no longer work, and I need to find something else.

Now an OFFSET Pro-Line 40 Series rim still needs at least 5/8" more offset to work for my setup.

So my question is, does anyone know where I can get wheel widener for a Savage? Or know of any 40 Series Rim that has a massive offset?

Thanks.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

There are some special hexes available to make the savages wider, but they are a huge stress on your drivetrain. (i think i've seen them on ebay, and a german guy makes them too i thought..)

The 23mm 40 series add about 1cm each side. I have Velocitys and the difference is noticable.

I have some NIP RDLogic hexes that make the truck wider by about 1.5" total. If you are interested in them I'll sell them cheap.

Not sure if this will work, but here is a possible solution:
Maxximizer makes a maxx to 1/8 buggy wheel adapter(which I happen to have). Perhaps these, inconjunction with some dominator wheels(plenty of offset!) would give you the width you need. A picture of your setup may help determine if it will work, but it just may be the answer you were looking for.
