EZ Run ESC for Revo Conversion - 01.01.2009, 09:52 PM

http://www.swanghobby.com/product.ph...&cat=41&page=1

Would that handle a 8XL on 12 Ni-Mh cells and later on a 4S Li-Po? I saw a video on YouTube and that's what gave me the idea. I want to spend as little $$$ as possible to get a Revo that can do at least 40mph, 35mph minimum.

I think this would be the EZRUN for you http://cgi.ebay.com/EZRUN-Brushless-...1%7C240%3A1318 It's pretty new, untested, but cheaper and doesn't need bec or fan. Here it is with a xl motor http://cgi.ebay.com/EZRUN-19T-3674SL...1%7C240%3A1318 I don't think you can get cheaper then 175 shipped for a system. But you'll have a cheap system :(

Yes - I need to get some time to learn their strengths and weaknesses(beat them up). If they hold up well on 4s, then I will stock and sell them(at an attractive price). At 80 amps, I suspect the 4s model will be mid range buggy territory. The 150 amp unit should in theory handle whatever it needs to in a buggy or truggy. I won't know until I get some time on them.
I am not sure on the 1/10 escs. If the 1/8 stuff works out well, then there is no reason not to offer the 1/10 stuff as well I suppose. :)

I'm going to guess that it passed the testing since he is now offering them in his store:

http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...rod=HW80ampesc

Mine should be on the way. I'll report back once I've gotten a few packs through it. I'll be running a Raze Buggy with a 60mm 2000kv medusa.

Also can you see if they are waterproof. I've seen some sites advertising them as "Waterproof" but I'm not going to try myself.
