1/5 MCD E-MT "Finished" - 01.14.2009, 06:26 PM

Ok guys here it is! After 4 months of hard planning, modding and buying I finally got this bad boy running. It runs great over all but still needs a voltage upperage. Here is my current Setup and my future Setup...

Current....

ESC- AstroFlight 75a 60v
Motor- CIM Large Robotics Motor 440kv
Battery's- 18v 4000mah nimh's.
Powered by- Chain, sprokets and gears...

Future...

ESC- 48v Victor HV ESC
Motor- No changes...
Battery's- 10-12s 4000-6000mah lipos with atleast 25c's.

Also the big joes are lasting very well on the 1/5. I picked up some 1/5 foams and modded them to fit inside the big joes and it really helps the tires from flattening while sitting. Anyways without further adue, here are some pics.

Possibly. I was thinking about picking up 1 or 2 of those 36v dewalt packs on ebay with the a123 cells.

I got a 75w RMS 135w peak 6.5" you can have! that would be a sweat 1/5 scale. You could be plowing the snow and bumpin at the same time.

Nice toy Takedown, it looks like fun. You really need to shrinkwrap those batteries before they come apart on you, and what in the hell is that plow thingy on the front end for? That motor looks to be pretty heavy duty. Put some large voltage and a big ESC in there and you will have a real screemer on your hands. Have fun and drive safe.

The batts are actually really solid for some odd reson and thats why i didnt reinforce them with shrink, shoe goo or both. And that thing on the front is what we wisconsinians call a "snow plow".

In minnesota we call that, "half a plow". Ha Ha! Wider than your tires silly boy!

Seriously though- awesome build and way to go with the outside the norm chain drive. You're ingenuity and willingness to try different things are a great attribute. I'm looking forward to your future builds.

Haha, thanks man! Ya I am debating on if I should pick up one of these types of shovels and mod if to fit the plow setup.
