TRAXXAS VELINEON VXL-3S in a associated tc-3 ? - 01.25.2009, 03:10 PM

First of all will it fit? What do you guys think about this set up for a inexpensive brushless set up. What kind of speeds do you think it is capable of on 3s ?

yes, and speed is all gearing dependent. U should be able to easily get 75mph out of it if u gear it up :)

It should be fast as hell. Get a medusa if you are going to buy the motor seperately though. Much better motor and unbeatable for the price.

Most likely no, that is a really good price. I like the motor, but prefer a MM for programability. If you are not worried about programming the vxl esc will be fine. Yet again the price is so good I would go for it. As far as speed, the tc3 should do 60 without any problems with that setup. Not sure how much gearing you can do with a tc3, but you can get 33t pinions, and most likely run a sub-60t spur. That will get you less than 2:1 out of the primary gearing. Should be fast, 39k rpm from the traxxas motor on 3s will definately make it move.
