01.26.2009, 01:23 AM
i dont know if any one else has seen this but zippy came out with some new flightmax lipos. i know they have had the flightmax lipos out for a while but they came out with new sizes
they now have 2 , 3, 4, 5, 6cells 5000mah in 20c, 25c, and 30c.
and they are shorter too. only 140mm instead of 150mm or 155mm

Damn, those are cheap... Maybe I will have to pick up one and try it out. Thinking that 5000 6s 30c looks tempting. I paid slightly less for a USED fp 4500 30c 6s lipo recently...

You've got to be kidding... a 30C 4s 5000 pack for $80? Thats ridiculous, and I am sure they'll sell like hot cakes if they perform well.

You know me, I am trying to scare up some extra dough to pick up a hyperion charger... But I may have to blow the wad (oh yeah) on a 5000 6s 30c... I want to see how it does compared to the fp 4500 30c, and the pq 6000 25c 6s lipos I have... Both of those are over 300 new, cough cough...
Even with ems expedited shipping (best way to go with them) it is still under $140 for me... Almost too good to pass up! Plus it will fit in my lst battery tray (actually shorter, but about the same height and width.)

So um.. when should we be expecting the nice review you're going to do for us? :P
Within two weeks, right!? :D
Lol, hey, never look at the cons, always the pros.
Pshh, I guess I'm gonna have to toss in the dough too.. We don't want it to get backordered like all the other smoking deals on HobbyCity... Now do we?
So get to it Linc!
Let us know if it rocks or sucks :D

For the money. -
01.26.2009, 04:27 AM
For the money those seem to be a really good deal. They did a really nice job packaging them to. I would think that they are going to have a run on them pretty quick now that the word is out with those prices. I already have too many things going money wise right now to be able to arfford them at the moment. I just picked up a 26" HDTV LCD flatpanel multi system TV/monitor for my PC $340. at the PX, and No tax either. Maybe I will try some of those batts out later in Feb after I get all of my other R/C orders in . I already have like $500 worth of stuff arriving this week.
Oh wait a minute, my birthday is comming up 07/Feb . AND I just got offered a job to. I guess I better get a hint to the wife. She is comming home tonight from California. So linc what ya gettin me for the big 50 day??? I've been a good boy all year to. hu hu hu????

Tell us what motor & esc you intend to run, and what you are hoping to achieve in terms of power and speed, and recommendations will flood in.
Cheap charger? Probably a hyperion 606i, for the price they are excellent. Plenty of similar items on hobbycity though for less, but many of them require a seperate powersupply.

Woohoo, we've got multiple guinea pigs!
Someone tell me how the 2S's perform.
Looks like I'm gonna have to hop onto the bandwagon, once I get all my dough!
