screws for UE towers - 01.27.2009, 01:27 PM

Are these the right size and length screws and nuts to attach the shoch standoffs to the ue towers? Would they work okay?

nuts:

screws:

Would these be long enough to mount the both shocks (each side) through the same mounting hole?

You need 4x M3 nyloc nuts, and 4x 40mm M3 bolts- the longer the better actually as 40mm is barely long in enough as I found once.

Yep, that should do the trick nicely.
Might need to trim them down actually, but thats no biggie- better too long than too short*...

*thats what she said.

thinking about getting this:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodId=ASC89452
Would this be better? How many screws come in a pack? How fast does horizon ship (standard shipping) and what is the quality of their service?

Those AE screws were perfect. They do come with 10 peices and are 10mm (?) longer than the stock UE screws, perfect for the spacer I needed to put in there to get my losi 8T rear shocks to line up perfect on the UEs

I have a tackle tray of stainless spacers I got from an old True Value store (score !) 5mm spacer behind the shock stay thingy.

Excellent! That is just what I am looking for.

The UE tower on a hybrid bulk with RPM arms sits back so far that the shock rubs on the 3.3 shaft. I need about 3 - 4 mm.
