MMMv3 + medusa 2000 70mm brakes problem - 02.06.2009, 12:51 AM

hey guys,
i'm up at my frends place now helping him dial in his converted revo platnium.

but we have an issue...
the throttle curves are fine on the MMM and it performs great.
the brakes however are MILES too strong...
READ ON (some people done read the whole post lol)
i have the brake curve at a almost flatline and the brake amount set at 25% but the revo will still want to do front flips when toy just brush the brakes with your fingers!!!

they are VERY touchey and i cant dial them out!

any ideas on what's going on??

nope :(:(
still no luck.
end point adjustment just make the brakes lock up later on in the travel.

Try calibrating esc to radio again, with the endpoints at 100%.

On the radio, look for "exponent" not "end point" adjustment. They are very different things. If/when you find it set the throttle channel to "0% exponent" in BOTH directions (F/R).

I set my braking to 50% on the MMM then use the curve in the castle link to get rid of the touchie-ness.

Even though it sounds fixed, I thought I'd relate a story. I had a similar thing happen to my car recently, though I thought it was a little underpower. After trying everthing without satisfactory results, I remembered my radio is futaba and I needed to reverse the throttle channel so when I thought I was braking, the esc was actually going full reverse to positive throttle, something they arent usually designed to do as smoothly as the regular kind of braking :p

Needless to say it fixed the problem, and since reverse was only set to 50% in castle link, I also gained a shiteload of power haha.

That's why the driver's ed manual stated that if using a Futaba radio, the user have to reverse the throttle channel .

Haha so every time you set up a controller in a car you read the drivers ed cover to cover? :p I knew I had to do it, I'd done it a million times before (and read the manual at least once too lol). Just slipped my mind, easy to do methinks.

Not necessarily cover to cover but skim through the manual. Then after testing the truck and before getting bored reading some of the posts here, I read the manual from cover to cover .
