1/8 scale on-road questions - 02.19.2009, 10:47 PM

So I am looking at building another speed car, and would like to scale up my 1/10 scale car. I have a body style that works great (lola), and can get them for the racing style 1/8 scale cars.

What I am looking for is a list of these types of cars. I know mugen makes one, but who else? Schumacher maybe?

I would just use an 1/8 buggy based 1/8, like the GTP. But they are too wide, and not really sophisticated enough for my liking...

I just saw a Serpent F-180(1/8 F1 4WD Nitro) it looks VERY VERY NICE!!! My friend told me that thing is VERY FAST, but not enough room for ESC and other stuffs cause of the chassis layout.....Well, the F-180 won't work for me, but maybe it'll work for you???

Interesting, but I need something with more std 1/8 wheelbase to fit the bodies I have found...

A speed f1 would be killer, Lutach would drool!

lol...You know that Mr. Baar was going to send me one of those right. Too bad they're not going to be made anymore due to certain changes. That's the one I was going to use 20S A123 with.

Do all of the 1/8 like the serpent use belts? I am guessing that since they are all nitro they will have the belts.

So no f1 for you lutach? Oh well, that sucks.

Mr. Baar didn't exactly say he wouldn't send me one. I told him I'm going to make it electric and he said he might make one electric, but that was before all the changes at Serpent. I'm going to send him an e-mail tomorrow to see what he says.

This is what I am using. Kyosho's Inferno GT. Based of the Inferno buggy. Its cool for just speed passes/drifting or just farting around empty parking lots. Although, I did hear that it s a class "IGT" that's gaining some interest at the race tracks. Im using the Novak brushless coversion kit with the Novak HV system on it. There is now an Inferno GT2, which is pretty much the same but based of the Kyosho Inferno Truggy chassis so it is longer. But looks a lot more scaled.

I guess the OP was not clear enough....

I do not want to use a 1/8 buggy based on road. I would just like to know what is available in the way of 1/8 nitro racers.

I have heard really good things about it.
