Shims in Tekno Neu motor. - 03.08.2009, 06:09 AM

Hey does anyone know why these shims are required?

I pulled apart my motor & found one (front) broken. Also with dirt in it.

See pic.

So, I need to replace it then.

How could it have broken in the first place?

Bizarre.
