I have just a quick question about the hyperion 1210i charger. Every time i use it when its charging my batteries (4s 5000mah lipo) it will charge at 5 amps for a little bit and then go down to 0 amps and the fan turns off and then it powers back up and goes back to 5 amps and the fan turns on. it does it every time i charge.
I was just wondering why it did it or should it not be doing that and there is something wrong with my charger.
How many times does it do this per charge? If only once, I think it's normal, so that the charger can check the resting voltage of the battery pack and make sure the battery has been properly detected.

Does it last for more than a few seconds? Is your battery being fully charged?
I have noticed my 1210i will drop to zero amps on occasion, but then it will go right back up. It never seemed like an issue to me because my batteries still get charged.
This might just be a safety feature of the charger.

That makes sense. The voltage when you charge will be higher than it is when it is resting. It's just making sure things are ok for the settings selected.
Just for the purpose of demonstrating what you're all saying, every one of the vertical lines in the picture is the periodic check to which you're referring. You'll notice that the voltage drops correspondingly as well.
ok cool. i guess my charger is ok. its nothing wrong with the power supply cause i was using a prodigy at the same time on the same power supply and it worked great. My batteries always get fully charged so thats why i never really cared about it. i was just starting to wonder why it did it.
