mmmv3 reciever wire can be cut short?

mmmv3 reciever wire can be cut short? - 04.03.2009, 10:14 PM

hi want to cut reciever wir it got caught in the spur geat a little bit and squashed it a little wire showing can i cut and add new reciever wire to it?

Yes, you can do that with no problems. Don't know how that will affect the warranty though...

You can either cut the bad section out and resolder/heatshrink the ends together; or for a cleaner look, get a servo connector kit and put new pins/connector at the end of the good section.

I have done it and it does not effect the warranty. the only soldering that does void it- is soldering directly to the board.

To protect mine, I removed the rx plug, put some narrow heatshrink tube over the rx lead, then put the plug back on- looks nicer and protects the rx lead to boot.

FWIW I had the same issue with a servo lead, rewired it and work fine after...

-yellow orange and browns so if the heatshrink wears through you do not short your BEC
