racing the hyper ep mini st w my .5 - 04.10.2009, 02:09 AM

hay folks , for the last couple weeks iv'e been racing my E.5 against the boys from OFNA and there new E P hyper st mini. its been akick and the new mini seems to handle well right out of the box. we are expecting as many as six or seven e mini truggys friday night at OC RC Raceway in Huntington beach,Ca.They just got them a couple days ago so maybe the heat wount be full until sunday afternoon but this looks like it will become a very popular new class.if youd like to watch us run this exciting new class go to "www.live rc cars. com and bring up the oc rc raceway thread and enjoy! dont forget to have fun

yes ,its an oem steel mod one .I tried to install a kyosho plastic 46 but wile it fits in the center mount with the top plate installed when you put it in the chassis it pinches together and locks up.I did try to shave it but my impresion is that the bearing placement dimension together with the gears thickness means it cant fit with out a new top plate 'longer front to back'and the chassis mount holes changed for length also.

hyper st durability - 04.28.2009, 12:51 AM

from my expirience of one to three times a week for about six week ive only seen one arm, two pivot ball fronts and a rear chassis brace witch to me is excellent and comparable to my .5 and better than the 10th scale buggys we are running against by a long shot
