less ''c'' rating with hold lipo - 04.25.2009, 12:16 AM

so me and my friend dont really know if my 1 year hold zippy 11,1volt 4800mah have lose some ''amp'' rating..those pack are 25c..so 25x4,8=120amps continuously

but now my pack can only take 4650mah(25x4,6)...so its 115amps??? OR they can push 120amps even if they lose capacity????

Well, first of all, what is your LVC point? If it's set kinda high, you won't be taking the full 4800mAh out of it anyway, so it makes sense you won't put 4800mAh back in. And anyway, the difference between 115A and 120A is not worth worrying about because A) you are only pulling that in bursts, and B) it's only a ~4% change. Over time, capacity is gonna drop; that's just age. Worry if you get to the point where you're only putting in ~4000-4200mAh with a proper LVC setting.

thanks BrianG!! your a brushless bible!!... so my lvc is 18volt and in fact i never reach my lvc so i never spend more than 3800-4000mah

a tipical monster set-up like the e-revo pike to 120amps under acceleration...if my pack can't substain less than that because they have lose amps capacity...they will discharge faster and heat up faster right????

Awesome explanation Brian. You should add this and other related info in a sticky (I'm not sure if there's one already).
