Problem with MMMv1 (plz help!) - 05.02.2009, 11:30 AM

Hello,

Been having a lot of fun with my basic set-up (converted Revo, MMMv1, 9XL, running on 2X2S 8000), until I readjusted the Lipo cut-off.

After a no-incident bash yesterday I set it at 12v.

Now I can't get it to work properly. Once the batteries are plugged, the steering works, but the motor doesn't turn at all.

Thing is, I'm not geting the solid yellow led when idle. (Nor does the MMM beep if I don't send it a signal for a while.)

The green and red leds light up when I use the throttle, but the motor won't turn.

I recalibrated the ESC successfully: no change.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Loa

update the firmware, then recalibrate to your tx.

Hello,

thx for the tip: I'll have to go back home to get my castle link first... I'll update the results when the update is done.

Update: I've updated the firmware and recalibrated the Tx without any problems.

Sadly, it didn't help.

It "boots up" ok, but then the yellow (idle) light never comes up, and although the steering works, nothing comes out of the ESC to the motor.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Hello,

Thanks for the help again: I've finally solved the problem without exactly knowing what was wrong.

After my last bash session I changed the cut-of voltage to 12v and didn't change anything. But the "write" to the ESC probably went bad and something got messed up.

When I got back home and used the castle link again, I started with a reset to defaults. After "writing" those defaults, I loaded it again and set the cut-off to 12v.

Success.

The truck now works flawlessly, and even seems to have more punch and top-speed. Can the updated firmware do that?

Thanks

Loa

Salut,

Merci. Je trouvais ça surprenant, mais je n'ai pas changé les réglages de ma manette... Peut-être juste une illusion.
