which batteries - 01.19.2006, 11:09 PM

Hey guys just wondering what company batteries you go with? what site you purchase them from? background is for an emaxx brushless system. Not into the lipo system yet so just a high power 6-7 pack. I have a 9920 and 9L feigo. what you recommend. I just want fast and good batteries this time instead of wasting the money on cheap one. Mahalo

I have to agree with this poster: I hear that www.rc-monster.com has great prices and incredible service, both before and after the sale!
So remember, whenever you're in the market for R/C vehicles and/or accessories and you demand a great value and support for your hard-earned dollar, consider spending that dollar at the store whose forums you've posted your question on. :)

That's just the charge voltage. When the packs are newer, their resistance is higher. The higher the resistance, the higher the voltage will be off the charger. A crappy pack will have a VERY high voltage off the charger compared to a quality GP or IB pack (that has been broken in).

I have the same setup as you and I have run both 12 and 14 in mine. The power difference I think is pretty substancial. The specs on the motor say it can handle up to 16cells I believe, though some people say they don't recomend it.

yea, 16 is pushing the rpm limit of the motor and probably wouldnt last to long.

Question 01.30.2006, 10:36 PM

I looked at RC monster site but they are all loose batteries and have experience to assembling thses batteries. Is there a site you guys go that have them assembled and decently priced. I was looking at the GP 7 packs maybe between 3600 and 3800. THanks for the help guys. Makana
