Where to go now... - 01.20.2006, 02:07 PM

Right now i have a pretty much stock E-Maxx. Only proline suspension and a full set of CVD's. I am going brushless. I was thinking about a Hacker C50 and the ESC that goes with it. I want to get the carbon fiber G-Maxx chassis and the 1 speed tranny conversion. I was just wondering what else there is to get, and what else i need to upgrade to copensate for all the extra power i will have.
~~Thanks

You will almost definately need upgraded diffs. Either the Maximizer of Fastlane diff cups should do the job. I didn't think hacker made the ESC that goes with the C-50 any more?

You can get a better motor for less money than the hacker c 50. The wanderer series is cheaper and just as good. Welcome to forum.

yes. you will certainly need diffs and aluminum bulkheads (stock are weak and break easy). i would go with the flm bulkless system.

I agree with squee, go with the FLM hydrids with the 7.5 8 spider diff's. Dont get RDlogics CVd's! I have them now and after I put FLM a-arms and hybrids now they are to short. Some people say the RDL's work fine but not for me. I am getting MIP's or UE's. Oh, welcom to the boards :D

Ok so i got most stuff planned out what im getting, but the diff's are very expensive. LOL Are the supermaxx ones the only 7.5 8 spider ones?? If so where would the cheapest place to get them be? Also about the CVD's... Is the G3 suspension the stock length or are they considered the EXT ones by MIP?? Also the center shafts are stock length too right??

the gorillamaxx chassis will require these. as for the diffs, the hybrids are definately the way to go but you dont NEED the 8 spyders. the 6 should be fine if shimmed properly. the g3 suspension is not the standard "old maxx" width. there the newer widetrack width so the wide mip cvds or others will be needed.

alright, thanks, im just getting back into R/C cars after like a year break.. Still getting back into it. So as for the diffs I would have to get the Fastlane Front and Rear Hybrid Bulks and also the SuperMaxx UltraLite 7.5 Differential Kit, 8 Spyder.
I guess im just a little lost on the whole parts list right now. Im trying to work on it, cause id like to order all the stuff i need at once.
I saw someone else on here going for the same setup that im going for, ill probably just kinda copy off what he's doing. LOL

Im still confiused on what bulkless is and what i really need to get it all working??
Because just the 7.5 8 spider gear set is only like $60 but the whole kit thing is like $240?? What is the biggest difference between them?? But i dont mind spending the money if it is all going to go togeather and work right. Biggest thing i really need is like a shopping list for all those little things.. I wanna turn this E-Maxx into an all aluminum killer. LOL

the bulkless hybrid system incorperates the bulkheads into the differentials to save weight, make it stronger and easier to work on.

The bulks and the gears. The $60 is for one set of gears. It has thegears only and no diff housing. The 1/8 hybird bulks has the diff housing and bulkheads made together.

I just dont wanna order like 5 different times from the stuff im missing, but all i really need is the gear set and bulks then? What about diff cups and all those little things ill need, and then i need to find out which CVD's to get for my G2 aluminum chassis and all that stuff..

Could you be a little more specific on the problem you are having in the store?
