This little known place called ebay has all kinds of stuff. If you can find the site just type in "4-tec" and you will find all kinds of goodies...

Traxxas has a few optional parts like Al carriers, steel outdrives, ball diffs, and IIRC, a CF chassis (or at least part of it). With the way it is designed, it doesn't lend itself too much for many optional parts. Are you looking to address something specific, or are you just looking for bling?

If you don't have it yet, I will say replacing the front belt is a royal PITA. Which is one of the reasons why I converted mine to 2WD when I made it BL...

No worse than getting a pre-X savage diff out...

Are we talking about the nitro or electric 4-tec?

Never had a Savage, but if it's more difficult to disassemble, I never will.

Hmm, good point. I assumed nitro...

A pre-X savage is a PITA to get the diffs out of, basically have to remove the left side tvp and disassemble the whole front or rear assy...

Newer X models have ez access diffs, a handful of screws and they are out.

I had a look for hopups for the nitro 4 tec and there seems to be the rpm rear shock tower and not much else. Traxxas have al rear carriers, and a bumper...
