Cool Team Associated RC8Te 1/8 ARR Truggy - 06.21.2009, 11:46 AM

Does anyone have one?

I want to do a Truggy conversion around my birthday since I'll finally be able to get a job to help fund everything. From what I've read this is just the Race Spec Roller so it has some lesser quality parts to keep the price down. Does anyone know what those parts are and if they would cause a problem bashing?

It has composite (aka plastic) shocks instead of aluminum and aluminum shock towers instead of carbon fiber. The chassis braces may be different to but I'm not sure on those. Shocks go for about $30-35 a set on eBay and the towers go for $20-25 from what I've seen.

I wound up with a factory team kit and bought Mike's full chassis kit, the RC8T-e wasn't out yet. Incredible truck, very easy to drive

How is it durability wise? I'm going to bash 99% of the time.

I bent a rear chassi brace trying to make a quad jump out of the tabletop and double at my track! Other than that just make sure to loktite everything.

Very durable, I have Mike's kit as well for my rc8t. I put the king heads chassis braces on mine and haven't had a problem, but I'm a careful racer.
