Motor Mounting - 06.21.2009, 09:46 PM

I have a question about my NEU/Castle 2200kv that came with my Mamba Monster. Where do i get the screws to connect it to the motor mount? and what size are they? The losi electric kit doesnt come with the screws, and need to find where to get them

Care to show me which screws you are using on the Mamba Monster 2200kv neu/castle motor.

The kit uses m4 countersunk screws, but you can use m3's (what the motor uses)

You can find them at any hobby shop

They are aluminium or hardend steel (12.9 would be nice) 3mm (M3) screws, probably about 8-10mm in length. Buy them from just about anywhere.

You can use the same screws that hold the ring/spur gears on the diff cases to mount the motor (if using the losi mount).

I have the same motor (actually the 2650 version but that doesn't matter). The m3 countersunk screws i was refering to in my previous post have worked fine for me without washers or spacers. It wouldn't hurn to put a ~3x4mm spacer that goes around the screw and fits in the hole. The losi mount was intended for motors with m4 screws which are the same as the screws that hold down the motor mount to the chassis, and were probably not missing from the kit.
