Maximizer Diffs' - 01.30.2006, 03:36 PM

I run the Maximizer 7075 differentials with a Robinson Racing gears. They are placed in alloy housing and alloy collar/bulks/braces.

I run on 14cells and 7XL atm and it was fine with stock before the Maximizers were fitted, just wondering how much my current differntial setup can take? Power wise, how much more.

Anyone experienced any wear or tear?

Thanks.

~ Nick.

As long as you keep them tight(if they develop play, re shim them), they can take quite a bit of power and abuse, Nick. I have blown a couple, but only after they were worn out pretty good(I noticed the slop and was too lazy to tear them down to re-shim them).

If the outdrives wobble, it is time for a re-shim job, Nick.

Where abouts do I shim it? (I imagine I use those super thin washers) Do I place them near the bearings?

If they wobble, a small teflon shim would go between the outdrive and drive cup(inside the diff) and/or the outdrive/ring gear(also inside the diff).
