So... Let's talk Differentials (Not the EMaxx this time :P) - 06.26.2009, 10:31 PM

So, don't stop reading..
It's about my ESavage, yes, I know you guys hate ESavages, but help me out on this one!

This is exactly what I posted over @ E-Savage.com....

------------

I know a ton of people, including me :] Have been talking about dropping in a MT2 diff instead of the stock diffs, just to beef them up right?

So has anyone done it?

If you switch out all your stock arms, hubs, and cvds, for the Savage X 4.6 Arms, CHubs, and Dogbones, this would beef up that part.

Would the cups that the MT2 diff comes with, fit?

Or will you need new cups?

Also, the MT2 will be a much more upgraded differential, right?

Are upgrades for the MT2 diff more widely available?

If this works, I'll certainly let you guys know!

My plan is to drop a Mamba Max (or MMM, who knows at this point) and a Medusa 2200kV (Or what's the recommended one?) as my new powerplant, on 4S (2 2S in Series)...

If this works, this will be one sweet truck!

Or, maybe I might drop in a twin diff for the rear, and a MT2 for the front..

Money will see!

I thought the GCM diff upgrade was the best bet? I have not owned an esav, just what I have read in my travels around the sav boards...

Yup, the GCM's are the best, but when budget disallows....
You've gotta get creative right?
