drinking and driving like oil and water - 01.31.2006, 10:34 PM

well folks, I just felt I needed to share the tragedy that ended up in my front yard this past weekend. Unfortunately, this is yet another example of a bad combination, drinking and driving.

This literally happened in your front yard, or just in your area or something?? Was very lucky not to have killed anyone else - as harsh as it sounds - idiots like that need to be stopped somehow, and i dont feel the slightest bit of sorrow for him the way he ended up..... shame for his family tho.

very sad indeed. The first impact at about 70MPH was my neighbors tree which ripped the car almost completely in half. The car slid another 130 feet across the street, hit the lightpole, came up my yard hitting the rock retaining wall for my flowerbed, hit the tree, exploded and bounced off towards the road. It was reported to have been a 30 foot fireball. I couldn't confirm the fireball size because my neighbors and I were too busy assisting the sheriff deputy. The front half of the car was 90 degrees from the back half. The car was no more than 30 feet from my house, and without the tree there, he would have been in my house.

It's a rough way to go, but if it had to happen, like you said, at least he didn't take any innocents with him.

So sad to see these things always happening, wish people would think before they do stuff like this.

something similar to that happened at are school 3 years ago. there was 4 kids in a small dodge neon and the went flying down a back road at over 70 mph and lost control going around a tight corner and ran into a tree at an estimated speed of 75mph 2 of the kids died in the fiery crash one of the kids was a really good friend of mine :012::012: its to bad the way people drive especially when they live and take the lives of the innocents.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I am glad no one else got hurt. It is crazy to see people do this all the time. It could have truned out much worse and much better.

.....I could dwell on what could have happened to my wife and I, but the fact is it didn't...this time. In your case, I can only imagine. Sorry to hear Serum.

Good thing for that tree, otherwise it could have ended up in your living room. For once others were not hurt but someone elses stupidity. I feel bad for the loved ones he left behind, they are the ones who get hurt most in all of this. Just reminds us all of the choices we make every day and how life can be snatched away in the blink of an eye.
