Had a bit of a poopy pants moment today... - 07.04.2009, 10:18 PM

Well I was downtown driving and could see a funnel cloud forming. I've seen funnel clouds before, nothing that ever formed and actually got bigger... Well I see this thing gettin a bit bigger then finally I see the tail start forming and THEN I start freakin. I start booking it for the house to get the dog and get the *bleeeep* out of there, hopefully there was no cops watching or I'd have tickets out my arse. I did manage to get a pic on my phone though.

By the time I got home it had dissipated. However I heard it might have touched down about 15K away from my house. Up here we don't get too many tornado's, except for one a few years ago that killed some people and the big one in edmonton in '89.

You mean the bright white spot? I don't think it is, to be honest I was doing well over the speed limit, driving down the middle of the road not really paying attention to what I was taking a picture of hahahaha. It is probably just light shining through.

Since you weren't looking lets call it lightning. Its cooler/more epic that way.

When I got home and noticed it was gone, I had visions of the movie "twister" going through my mind, and having this damn thing pop out of the sky on top of my house hahaha. As cool as it was to see, I am glad it's gone and didn't do any damage(that I know of)
