which battery charger - 02.06.2006, 02:39 AM

Hey guys,
I just purchased some IB batteries and want to pick a decent battery charger that is user friendly, easy to use, not too complex. I am not a battery guy that understands all the volts ect... So my question is which chargers do you guys recommend? Hows the ones mike offer here? which one is good. I got a cheap charger now and since I got the IB's I dont want to ruin the batteries. THanks for the help guys. Makana

I have the Integy 16x4-Pro ac/dc charger and love it. It will charge up to 15 cells at once which allows me charge both my 7 cell packs at once.

usually the rule of thumb is up to double the mah of the battery ( for eg - 3600 cells - is 3.6 + 3.6 = 7.4 volts - we charge them at 6.0 amps though - so i would say 6.0 amps is good - also charging at a higher rate will give more "punch" as opposed to lower charge rates giving slightly more run time and more smooth power initially - thats what i have experienced - not that noticable though -

Hows that "Hope and Change" working out for Ya???

FOr these chargers.. cause your allowed to charge up to 15 cells...I looked at the picture and there is only one input for the batteries... to charge more than one pack at a time do I just make a second connection to the charger and plug 2 packs into the ont inlet? Someone said that they charge two packs simultaneously that why. THe Integy 16x4-Pro ac/dc charger that mike offers is it user friendly? Easy to use.. Not to smart about the chargers newbie to this game. Laters Guys

No reason... just thought I would support Mike over here. I havent made a decision yet just trying to see what the scoops are. Can you answer my question about charging more then one pack at a time.. Looks like there is only one inlet to charge so do I just make 2 seperate deans plugs and plug them both into the one inlet to charge 2 packs at the same time? Does it take twice as long if they are both on? And thanks for the suggestion about the charger... Thats still a very good option. Makana

You just have to make one of these to charge 2 packs. :017:
