TV Digital Convertier box recommendations -

I guess there are like 40 different kind of boxes available. A friend asked me which one to get. lol I don't know I have cable. Anyone have some experience with them or the different brands? I'm sure all he want is just the converter box, no DVR or anything special.

Contact the area's cable provider.
Did he apply for a coupon from the govt? We recently got one, but I'm not sure if the coupon is specific on the brand. We are getting it for the camp. |

Camp= house on the river, in the swamp, not accessible by land, no cable-satellite or local air only, does have electricity tho, away from the world....
