I just hope the molded chassis holds up, but I am sure its gone through its paces during testing. Thoughts?

I like the looks of it. but i wonder how the balance is.
and they have a 2200kv motor in a buggy- gotta love the overkill.
Mech brakes is an interesting feature. anyone plan on getting one?

I LIKE it. I think that will be my next rig! My old buggy has been discontinued and parts are getting harder to find.

2200kv in a buggy is perfect. I much rather that than the 2650. It ran so much cooler and seemed to have twice the power.
I love the look of this one. That body is sitting LOOWWWWW on the chassis. I'm not sure if I like the battery and motor on the same side. Seems off balance. Stock with Mechanical Brakes, im iffy on that as well. But this thing looks killer!!

Meh, I'm not feeling it. Sure, it sits low, but I don't like:
- Motor and battery on one side. Might be hard to balance that.
- Pinion is wayyy too close to the battery for my liking. A good lawn dart and your lipos will be pinion fodder.
- Spiral cut diffs. Puts too much thrust pressure on the bearings. Probably quieter, but who cares really.
- Molded chassis. I'll take the extra weight and durability of a good aluminum chassis anyday.

I like it, kind of.
Things I don't like:
Motor/battery on 1 side
Extra weight and rotating mass of mech brakes
Plastic chassis
Need long wires for motor-ESC and battery-ESC

The balance issue actually might not be such a big problem if they could use a smaller spur, which would allow the motor to sit closer to the centerline. It's already got truggy diffs, there's no need for a 50t spur! Heck my Jammin CRT has those spiral cut diffs with a 46t spur, same motor (2200), 5s Lipo, and a 13t pinion. In that buggy on 4s you might need to gear it with an 18t+ pinion which would really push the motor out.
Keep in mind that balance isn't just weight related, but is a combination of weight and the distance from the centerline. If they shifted the CD more toward the right of the buggy and used a 46t spur they could get the motor pretty close to the centerline, probably close enough to negate the battery being on the same side.
I wonder if the 50t spur was included because they intend to have the owner use mechanical brakes? Otherwise that 50t spur option is simply retarded IMO.

IMO they should have designed it to accommodate twin lipo packs.

It will. Just stack them on top of each other.

The only thing I really like on this buggy is the radio box. Otherwise, I'm not sold on it. I would rather buy a D8 and then a Tekno conversion kit than one of these, even though I don't use mech. brakes. And besides- all RC cars, 1/8th scale and above, should have aluminum chassis!

140mm max battery length, same side of motor and close to the pinion? I don't like it...
Zippys won't fit!!
