broken Rotor CC Neu 2200kv - 09.13.2009, 03:30 PM

this weekend i was racing.
environment temperatur was 18°C and my motor was never higher than 50°C (dx3s shows me)

on a long straight the car do a full braking and i cant go on.

a check shows that the motor is blocked.

i pulled down the front motor cover and try to get the rotor out.
this was very hard (not because the magnet)

and i saw the rotor was broken, here is a pic:

what could be the cause for this?
is this a case for warrantee?
i hope so.

x2 crt, 6s lipo, castle combo 2200kv, geared to 62km/h, 11t pinion.

Strange problem, I don't think i've heard of a CC 2200 rotor grenading, but castle will take care of you.

You can get another 15151y revo take out on the bay for ~$125. How can medusa warrantee a motor when they are no longer in business. The shop might give you your money back or a replacement though. email castle thats obviously a bad motor.

They didn't go out of business they shifted what they are doing. They just aren't making motors anymore.

That will be covered by warranty. Just return it to us (the motor AND rotor please!) and we'll replace it.

Thanx!

Glad we could help.

We have a very very few rotor issues with our motors -- I think this is the third one I've seen from over 10,000 motors shipped.

0.03% failure rate! Not too shabby.
