TC3 & tc4 questions - 09.15.2009, 06:45 PM

I'm looking to pick up a tc3 to go BL and was wondering if they handle the abuse well or do they break alot? any probs with diffs? Will be running in parking lots, speed runs only.. will they handle a decent sized lipo? I don't have one but looking if anyone has a roller for a good deal. Not really sure I'll like it just something to play around with.
phil

Is a tc4 as good or any better than a tc3?

I have a few TC3 and one of them has gone 73mph and took a few tumbles on the way there and came out laghing. Tough cars.

I just re-equipped my TC3 after about a five year shelfing. With a Mamba Max/ 5700 and 3S 3000 pack it ran great in a large smooth parking lot for some speed runs. Don't have an official speed yet but estimate 60-70mph. Drivetrain held up great.

In the process of rebuilding one for a friend as a favor. Excellent car for high speed!! Use the upgrade spool fr/ diff rr/. Most importantly is proper shimming!!! We have run this in different configs:

- 3S/7700 = 98mph
- 4S/5700 = 103-105mph (popular setup in Miami!!)
- 5S/5700 = 108mph in 200 feet then lost it!!!! Still alot more in the tank!!

If I were to build another speed car(and I am not!!), definately would be my choice!!
