mmm hesitation when backing into a turn - 09.19.2009, 07:51 PM

there is one hairpin turn on my track that i like to go into fast. throw the car sideways about 2 feet from the apex of the turn and slide it around the turn. BUT as soon as the car starts to slide backwords the MMM does not respond to the throttle for like a sec or two. happens every time.If i just drive around the turn all is fine. is there is fix? software wise. does this happed to others?

1.21
timing is normal
start power is low
i upgraded to 1.22 just now but cant test it.

Don't let the motor come to a complete stop and you won't get the sensorless hiccup you are describing. The settings won't help here - just gotta keep the motor spinning a little. :)

Try turning up the start power. But keeping wheels rolling forward is the best bet.

sounds like just the startup phase of the ESC wasnt made to start a motor that is already going in reverse.
just keep the motor running
