Long story short, I'm bored with my truggy. It's too easy to drive. I'm debating if I even want to stay into RC since I've gotten into Ebikes and airsofting quite heavily lately. My truggy mostly just sits on the shelf. So, should I just abandon the hobby I've had for over half of my lifetime or should I continue, but venture into a new type of RC? I'm not sure what I'd like to try, as onroad bores me, crawling just... meh.... Racing 1/8 I never cared for, etc etc...
I'm thinking about 1/10 trucks and buggies, as the only ones I've had are all traxxas, and mostly rustlers. I've had about 30 rustlers. I can completely dis and reassemble one in just shy of 11 minutes.

Option one:
If RC is boring you at the moment, sell the vehicles but keep the tools, chargers and stuff like that. The reason I say that is the vehicles are probably out of date or will be in a short while but the tools are always useful. If you ever want to get back in RC then buy the vehicle that is popular at that time.

Option two:
Keep everything you have and have fun with it from time to time when you feel like it. Don't neglect the stuff you have though, keep maintaining your RCs so that they are in good shape.

Option three:
Get into some RCs you never had before like airplanes or boats. Or even a Monster truck.

There might be other options for you but I am tired of typing. Whatever you do, just have fun with it.

My opinion is if it's not interesting to you, then move on. Sure later in life you may regret selling your "insert name here" rc truck, but that happens in life whether by plan or accident.

I have been bored with the speed thing and use my SCX10 and tanks more than anything now. I have also gotten back into the RR hobby heavily and spend a lot of time with it. I will keep the LST2 but sell everything else. I just see no sense in a bunch of vehicles sitting around that I don't use when I could a) use the money from selling them for something that does interest me and b) they could belong to someone who does appreciate them. I just hate to see anything sit around and not be use.

Since your in So. Cal., why don't you take up 1/10th indoor offroad racing?

That is when I had the most fun in RC and is what I'm longing for again. Too bad the closest tracks are 6hrs. away for me (both Salt Lake and So. Cal are about 6 hrs.).

The first one that comes to mind is OCRC in HUntington Beach. Revelations in Montclair, the other one across the freeway from Rev in Ontario (can't remember the name right now). There are others I've heard opened up, but I'm so far from that scene now, I just don't pay close enough attention. This is one thing RCCA IS good for--they have a comprehensive track directory in their mag.

Looks like I confused them again--it's Revelations in Ontario and Pegasus in Montclair

Some of those tracks are defunct--I think Crystal Park for example has been gone a while.

Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus is one of the most known tracks in the country, even if it's a slight drive.

All of those tracks are around, I think Crystal Park shut down pretty recently though (but don't quote me, I haven't heard anything about it in a while). To my knowledge OCRC and Revelation are still doing just fine. There is also West Coast RC in the OC, also an indoor 1/10 1/8 track, but they're temporarily closed.

Yeah, been to hotrod before. I'm thinking I'll get into 1/10 truck racing, it sounds like a lot of fun.
