What happened to my MM? - 11.23.2009, 06:51 AM

i was fixing my Mamba max to my 1/8 ep buggy. fixed a bec for it. Started & worked. But when i connected to my laptop it tried to update the software but I cancel it when it took too long.

After that the esc just cant work any more, servo & rx worked but no light or sound on the MM.

I moved the switch thought it maybe loose but still nothing. There was a dim red light on the esc when I switch on. But still cant work.

Is it a corrupted software in the esc? The laptop can still detect the esc but cant update or set it default.

any idea what went wrong or its damaged & need to send for repair?

Any master reset I can do manually on the esc? Thx guys!

Try to see if you can update the firmware.

How did you connect the esc to the laptop- via a castle link or with the usb cable?

Tried with updated software & old software. Tried both USB & castlelink. All can't work.

Old software can detect but can no longer update or set the esc to default.

What went wrong?

I dun think it's the switch since even the computer can't update it. Do we did to switch on to update via USB?

Patrick said you need to include a note on the form to ask for an upgrade to the MMpro- its not an official thing yet, and you will join the end of the queue since MMpros are in short supply (specifically the FETs). Its $75(?) to upgrade to the MMPro, otherwise if the esc is less than 12months old and no rewiring has taken place on the esc itself, standard warrenty replacement/repair will be free (+ shipping).
