You didn't get any $$$ for Christmas? Oh well. Save save save! Have you ever driven Lipo? If not you won't believe the difference it makes. I was running an HV4400 in my Rusty for the longest time on 12 IB3800 cells and I thought it ran pretty good. When I upgraded to Lipo it was like the motor grew wings...

indeed.. well i have this thing at my work called a HSA (Health Savings Account) and i have a "debit" card that allows me to withdraw money and spend it anywhere but the internet.. due to illegal gambling acts they will not allow internet transactions on this card.. i have another debit card but the ol lady will NOT let me touch that card as i will and have before just blow all the money in the account.. so therefore this HSA is my only choice.. and besides she don't need to know how im spending my money!!.. lol (not to mention she still owes paypal money on our debit card)

and Linc thanks man.. i'll hit u up as soon as i get another $250 on my card.. at that time i will ask you again.. i hope u could get it sent straight to me.. as she would find out that i bought something as yell at me.. and i dont need that anymore then i get it!.. i'll be eagarly awaiting more money..

The Pimp can help you out. Have a look on their site and pm me links to what you need. I get some sort of discount since I have Unobtainium status or some crap like that... You can mail me cash and I can order it for you. Not sure if I can ship it directly to you, but you are close enough to pick it up.

As long as you have a power supply. Also consider a higher wattage charger if you plan on charging 4s or larger packs. 50w/7.4v=6.8a which is more then you need, but 50w/14.8v=3.8a which gets a little longer and 50w/22.2v=2.3a which would take 2-2.5 hours.

That 7700 is a hot motor. I had a hard time keeping the temps down in a stock rustler, the stampede is little heavier, and the bigger tires put a much larger load on the motor.

I'm just warning you, right now the batteries are your weak link. Once you go lipo that 7700 will get HOT and it may die on you. Then if it demagnetizes and you try to drive it the esc can blow quite easily. If you don't have one I would get a temp gun, and check temps often!

I would still go ahead and upgrade to lipo, but I would keep in mind that a motor will probably be your next purchase. There are plenty of motors that will push your stampede on 2s. Then you should be solid and not have to upgrade.

When I first got my mamba max and 7700 I ran Duratrax 4200's and they did ok as long as I was geared 87/15 in my rustler on the street when I went to a 17 tooth I actually popped one of the cells. The hobby shop replaced it under warranty. I got an eagle tree data logger and found out I was pulling 126 amps and pulling the pack down below 5V. For a while I still ran this setup but more closely monitered the temps. I still managed to kill a second pack. After that I got a different motor to tame it down a bit. I still run it from time to time but switched to A123 batteries and just run speed runs with it.

i was running DTX 4200s i've blown like 6 cells of them.. never really had temp problems..

on another note i have a buddy that would trade my 7700 for a 5700 mamba.. think i should do so?.. and if i do wouldn't i be losing speed and torque? i love poppin wheelies on demand.. i only bash but race cars up my street often.. i like to see their when my RC passes them.. i guess i'll opt for the 40c packs.. does it make a difference with a hardcase? because i bash the hell outta my truck and hardcase just seems logical.. whats the pros and cons of a hardcased lipo?

also if i swap motors i could go bigger then just 2s.. i think that 5700 is rated for 5s or 6s lipo..
