Thanks for posting because I had all these same thoughts after I had originally posted.
You'd probably need an L mount that would attach to the engine plate in the Flux. Then you'd want to have a single lower bolt position and the upper bolt position being offset and in an arc, much like how most 1/10th scale 2WD setups are done, that would allow you to adjust the mesh.
Then again it might just be easier to get an extended engine plate made, that you could drop a truggy mount/center diff onto. I measured the width of my RC8T's motor/center diff combination and it was just a little wider than the Savage TVPs, so it would overhang a bit. But think that might be ok as most of the Flux TVPs I have seen have large open spaces in that area of the chassis.
