smoking rx help - 02.14.2010, 08:19 AM

my sr3300t had a slight smoking problem seems to work okay tested on the brench but i havn't had a chance to test at good distance or with the sensors. heres a picture just wondering if anyone has any information on these thanks

It looks like you smoked a Diode, but it's too hard to tell from the pic quality. What did you do to cause it to smoke?

plugged my losi esc in wrong switch-rx and rx-switch i think with 5 cell battery ill take a better picture when i find the camera are these diode a standard type of item?

Sure they are standard like tires. Maybe someone else has the same Rx that they can take a pic of.

I have a spare one thanks for the input I'll get the electronics guy to sort it out for me


Spare rx has part# A156L the 15 is also underlined does that mean anything?? (tantalum capacitor)

A Tantalum cap I could believe that. I think it breaks down like this:

A= Case code (1.6mm X 3.2mm)

15 microfarad

L= tolerance maybe?

15V

So you need a 15 volt 15 microfarad Tantalum cap.
