E maxx - 02.17.2010, 04:43 PM

Just got myself a NEW E-Maxx! Been wanting one a long time. I've replaced the motors with a pair of Astro Flight 615's. I've ordered a Novak #5645 fan kit for the sc. I've got a pair of Turnigy 4500 mah LiFe packs coming. I'm looking at going to 4 shocks-using 4 of the original shocks and going to 1 hole pistons,70wt oil and much heavier springs. Is that realistic? Also, the stock wheels/tires weigh 2.5lbs! Does someone make some 14mm hex wheels/tires that are significantly lighter that won't cost an arm and a leg? Don

You can run single shocks but the plastic units won't ever hold up. For running only 4 shocks, use 4 1/8 scale buggy front shocks.

For the best shock setup, pickup a set of the powerstroke shocks from Proline. They're not made anymore for the maxx but they were great.

What type of terrain do you run? Some badlands on some aftermarket rims would be a great benefit for a basher.

I was looking at street, yards and some dirt. I've heard about the 1/8 front buggy shock idea-guess I'll have to look a little deeper. Who makes the Badlands? Thanks, Don
