Slash 4x4 gets a ST makeover -

So I wanted something a little different. I slammed the body by removing the rear body mount, and adding some posts in the holes in the shock tower. The front then got 1/4 in long cut down body posts. The body is a Crowd Pleazer from a Savage 25. I liked the body, but the bumpers were way to long. So I cut out the long extensions with the back bumper, and rescrewed it on to the cut off nubs. Seems very strong. For the front I cut off a big chunk, and mounted a RPM bumper from a Stampede. I used a pair of screws from the underneath into a couple nuts. The bumper rests inside the upper cushion bumper, so if it's hit hard enough it still works to absorb the blow, instead of transfering it all to the bottom skid.
I'm running a HV4.5 and a Xerun 80amp esc. Does very good for what I'm doing with it.
how do you like the handling with the bigger tires and offset wheels?
IMO it made the truck. I was chassis slapping and rolling over bad with the stockers. These will pull wheelies, yet can still corner faster. I'm not really happy with these tires, so I have some Losi 320 Zombie's on the way. I hope they provide as much traction, while they are wider, so hopefully will add more stability.
Right now I'm geared 12/54, on 3s it's good for around 50mph.

Well my next upgrades have been started to get ordered. It's a little more then just cosmetics, and will address all the weak parts :) Meanwhile I got some new rubber today. The losi Zombie 320s . They are a little wider, and shorter . Should give it a little more stability while blending more with the ST look.
Are you going with pro-lines shocks or suspension kit?

WOW!!! I like what you did there in the picture just above! I'm going to see if I can do something just like this with my true track on my Emaxx. I'm going to eliminate the top arm and put a beefy turnbuckle in instead.
The RC-M member prototyping of Traxxas' answer to the Losi Ten-T
:D I think Traxxas needs more then me from RCM doing prototyping. They already paired with CC, how about letting Mike design a truck for them.
With the Maxx arms I'm not sure what class it would be in. It's gonna be the exact size as an E-maxx. I've been thinking of starting a build thread on it, but where does it go? It sure isn't a Corr truck anymore :D
