If you get the hi amp version you can put either one on it. It is really a matter of choice. I think the 5.5 plugs may be a better choice.
Peace!

i ordered the 1950/8. rc-monster didn't have a high amp 8 turn version listed, so i guess i didn't get the high amp version. which size for a plain 1950/8. can i still run 6 cell lipo on a non high amp?

yeah it take the 6s lipo. You will need the 3.5 version plug.

It is no problem. I try to help you if I can. I think you will like the 1950 8t very much. I sure do love mine.
