Neu 1521 Front bell came off! - 04.28.2010, 06:52 PM

Hey guys, I spankin a baja SS today with the XXL, I am running a Neu 1521 and MMM. Hit a jump awkwardly and landed nose first.

I did not break anything on the truck but something seemed funny, I took it in for a closer inspection and the front bell came off .

What glue should i use to re-attach it? The inner grub screw whole is ripped out, but the exterior one is fine.

Is the permatex heat resistant glue any good and would it last?

Thanks in advance!

I was gonna suggest some sort of thermal epoxy or the appropriate flavor of loctite, so that stuff in the link looks fine to me

I wonder if you could rotate the endbell a little bit and drill/tap a new hole for the grub screw ( I assume theres clearance inside so you dont hit the windings )?..

If you can't drill and tap that epoxy or JB weld would prob suffice.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

I will epoxy it on and drill a new hole and fit a slightly bigger grub just to be safe.

Thanks, I'm a brushless n00b and when this happened today I crapped my pants, threw the XXL in the boot and rushed home to take it apart.
