does anybody know the easiest way to lower my LST?

im going to try and explain this the best i can.
i already have the shocks set to the inner shock tower and and widest on a arms. i have no preload spacers on my springs.
when i compress the truck, the arms are completely level . but when i lift up the truck from the bottom chassis. the springs/shocks will decompress and raise the truck.
thats the part i want to fix.

on my emaxx i have it to the lowest setting as well, but when i lift up the truck from the chassis, the springs/shocks will decompress and just raise 1-2 centimeters while the lst will raise like a inch or maybe even more.

i want to make the lst like how the emaxx is. anybody know of a fix??? maybe some different shock towers that are a direct bolt on?

Try softer springs? I think Muggy shocks and towers would do the trick.

softer springs will still give me that same upwards shock travel. are the muggy shock towers a direct bolt on?
i wonder if i can just buy muggy shock shafts inside my lst shocks.
i have read that there are some kind of muggy arm adapters that you put on your lst arms for a little bid wider stance.

edit: are there some kind of shock limiters out there?

Softer springs won't allow the truck to have as much rebound, meaning the truck won't raise back up like it does now, and will stay down like your Maxx does.

true, never thought about that.

but yes uptravel is all im trying to do. so maybe spacers is all i need. i was thinking i can just some some fuel tubing. but i think they would wear out after sometime. something hard would suit this better.
how bout some pistons??? i was thinking of using these :

The towers are a bolt on. If just trying to limit uptravel, then the muggy shafts would probably be all you need, or you could just use spacers.

You need to take the shock apart and just add a bit of fuel tubing around the shaft inside the shock body below the piston. The longer the piece if tube the lower the ride height will be when car is LIFTED OFF THE GROUND. Soft springs do nothing when the wheels are off the ground....

This will not let the piston go all the way down to the bottom of the shock body and will "limit the suspension travel".

EDIT Fuel tube is cheap. Replace if needed when oil is changed.... but also flexible and wont hurt pistons,

are all fuel tubing the same diameter? are does anybody know the right size of fuel tubing i will need for lst shocks?

i still would rather much use something plastic than the fuel tubing. what you guys think of using pistons. but the holes in the pistons may affect something maybe....

I understand why you are leary of fuel tubing, but it has been used many times and is a tried and true method of limiting shock travel. Any fuel tubing labeled for nitro use will work. Your making it more work and cost than it needs to be

perfect! i will be trying this fuel tubing method then. i have never owned or researched nitro cars. is there a good brand of tubing....such as tougher more durable ones? or are they all pretty much the same.
thanks for all the help fellas. im actually pretty excited to do this now. i shoulda asked the forum much sooner, but felt like it was a silly question and didnt wanna get flamed.
i tried to come up with ideas on my own and tried different springs and shock wieght oil, and preload shock spacers, and sway bar, but the dam lst would still roll waaaaaay too much.
i think limiting the shock extension with fuel tubing should help ALOT . we will see.
i will report back with my results.

fuel tubing is fuel tubing, just get a foot and you'll have way more than you need.

I can't even think of a brand name for fuel tube? I just go with what's cheapest or at my local hobby shop

update: i almost forgot to report back, anyways, those rpm adapters was a perfect fit! i put two for each shock, and now theres minimal up travel...just how i like it.
if theres any lst owners out there that wants to do ghetto muggified, i suggest this quick and simple mod. i was gonna go with fuel tubing but i have heard from some people that after a few weeks, even days, the tubing can deteriote very fast because of the oil and dirt/grime.
but now my lst barely rolls now, handles waaay better.
