ok guys i have been considering selling my E conversion cen matrix for a caster fusion pro truggy i've take my RTR tr arena apart so many times i think i'm ready for a ground up kit! what are your thoughts about t and is it race worthy?? thanks!!!!!

I just did a full days worth of research on the F8T trucks the other day. ~$325 shipped is the current price of the low end roller. ~$450 shipped for the Pro roller or ~$475 shipped for the low end RTR.

holeshothobbies.com has them for the same price as casterracingusa.com, but they charge a lot less for shipping.

I actually ended up going with a used Jammin Nitro Roller because it is going to cost me about $100 less to get it converted than a new low end F8T roller would have cost me.

I've also looked at several classifieds and there are very few F8T's out there and those that are were there for months, but they were all gone as of yesterday. The prices were low, like people asking $250 shipped for a brand new low end roller with no takers. I don't like loosing to much money when I sell my RC's so I try to get great deals on new or at least decent deals on used.

I had a Caster buggy, nice ride, except they don't use 7075 for their chassis's. So if you do get one look into getting the aluminum chassis braces immediately.

I bent my chassis the first time I broke the plastic chassis brace in the rear. It turned into a taco.

I've been pretty impressed by mine. It's been a solid truck.

A few things worth noting, I won't dance around the fact that the F8T is basically a MBX5T clone. You may see this as good or bad, I won't get into that debate though. It's nice that many of the parts are interchangeable, as you are more likely to find Mugen parts at your LHS. I have to order all my gear online anyway, so parts support isn't as big of an issue.

I would go with the Pro roller straight away. The 6061 alloy used in the sport/RTR model feels a bit flimsy. Get the Pro with all the extra alloy bits, and all made of 7075, much tougher. The pro chassis are made out of 7075, just not the RTR/sport chassis. Diggity Designs makes carbon fiber parts for Caster vehicles if you like that too.

The guys on the Caster USA forums are very helpful, as are the guys here, so no matter what vehicle you decide to get we'll make sure you get it setup right!

Besides the Chassis bending on my sport model the thing would take one hell of a beating. I did however eventually convert it over to a single battery tray set up to run my 4s packs, then I sold it.

From my experience I would also buy the pro kit, its has more updated parts and the upgrades. Its much better value for the money.

Get the Pro kit and save on having to upgrade anything. I have the F8T Pro. It's been great so far.
