Transmitter/ Receiver - 11.05.2010, 11:34 AM

I'm looking for a new Transmitter/ Receiver that I can use on two or three of my vehicle.

Looking for something that comes with the receiver as a package and in or around the $100-150 area.

Should I definitelly be looking for a 2.4gh unit only?

They will be used in my brushless RC10GT, Ofna LX buggy and maybe my Traxxas VXL Bandit.

Thanks for the help,
Nick

Couple of companies have been adding these to there RTRs.

You can also pick up a DX3S off eBay for cheaper; usually they are from a kit that has been chopped.

I've seen quite a few older DX3's for sale in the want ads for 100 or less. Probably run you 40 bucks a pop for extra recievers.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

Wow, that's a cheap radio. Cheap is nice, but that cheap would make me a bit hesitant/suspicious.

yes, it is very cheap, I'm also a little leery of it...but I figure for the price, I might as well try it out when I decided on a new transmitter.

So this looks like it is a pretty solid radio/ receiver combo at a good price.

I think I might try one of these out on my RC10GT first.

Thanks for the help,
Nick

Ebay from Jennys RC, they sell them from RTR Losi XXL kits. I've seen them go as little as 100.00 with 1 Telemetry RX

ALSO, Look into the DX2S, much cheaper than the 3S and still does the telemetry

Is the telemetry feature something that I really need or just a nice option? Can someone explain what it exactly does?

Thanks,
Nick

I have it but never used it, Nice to have especially if your concerned with a new build. Is it needed, No. Just personal preference and cool factor.

I'm looking at it also, My DX3S is filled and have 4 minis on all seperate radios. Seriously considering it especially for under 100.00 shipped I can get the TX and 4 extra RX's ????
