Anyone bought or sold a G3R recently? -
11.14.2010, 12:05 AM
Just curious what kind of price they are bring in. I talked to one guy that got 1200 for his.
How about you owner's of the G3R out there. What kinda price tag would you hang in the window. Not that you would ever let it go to begin with.
I put mine out there with a 3500 price tag just because I didn't want to sell it but see what kind of offers it might bring in. The 3500 hasn't attracted anyone to make an offer yet.

Selling anything at that price is lucky. -
11.14.2010, 12:38 AM
Trying to sell anything at that level is lucky at best. That's why so may people just part them out, because there are more people out there who can pick up a part her, and a part there without killing their bank accounts. Making a purchase over $1000 is very risky at best, especially on ebay. If you get anyone interested it is best to have them contact you directly to discuss the matter personally. Good luck with your sale Guy.

Good points Jerry. I am not selling mine though. I am letting a lot of the others go and just added it to the list to see what kind of interest it would get. The insane price I added hasn't gotten any replies to it. I was plannng it parting it out is a good idea. I could use some luck with the sales of the other ones.

Not sure -
11.14.2010, 04:23 AM
I'm not sure what it is, but it feels as if we are hitting a pivotal point in our spending at the moment. According to analysts spending has slowed to a crawl accross the nation. Maybe its because we are approaching the major holiday season for Xmas and everyone is saving for gifts and what not. I have seen a few guys listing stuff and not getting much interest at all. Money is getting tighter & tighter. The problem I see is that there does not seem to be much comming in the way of change that is going to help any of us. Kind of tough knowing what to think of the situation. We have seen some of the real die hard R/C collectors selling off stuff trying to make up ground on our losing economy. Only time will tell where we are heading.

That's way lower then I thought they would bring in. Unless this one just snuck in under the radar and not a lot of poeple new it was out there. Somehow I would of let it leak that it was on ebay to a few of the forums. A lot of the forums don't like you to link to your ebay auction. I try dropping some hints to people though.

Yeah, you basically have a "collectible" that really isn't collectible yet. The RC resale world is something else. Kids asking way too much for their used toys, and everyone wants the latest and greatest technology, so your chassis that is no longer made while being rare now, could be worth some bucks if your patient and wait for the right buyer, but if you wait too long, it'll be a forgotten technology.
Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

I sold the one I had for 1200, it was Shauns old set up. Regret it still but I'm working on a new one. I sold it in a couple days after listing it, funny part was the cheap morons who offered 200-300 bucks for it..

i have listed my G2R for sale and have yet to get an offer. i guess i'll end up keeping it, no way i can cheap sell it for a few hundred. i think they should go at no less than 1000. as mine cost 2.5 times that.

Complete truck? -

For one grand are you talking about a complete truck or just the chassis setup? How much was the G2R as a Gorilla kit to begin with?

They were only around 300 or so - in reality, a pretty good buy. Could've put a roller together for somewhere in the 4-5 hundred mark (50 bucks tranny, 50 each for front and rear end, plus a little for odds and ends like batt straps).

complete truck or part out, make a roller
gorillamaxx g2r carbon, it was 300.
gorilla tranny, and motor mount 100.
full rpm a-arms, hubs, bumpers 150.
2 sets of rc-monster hybrid diffs (new). 125 each 500.00
quark 125 monster, rc-monster mount. 200,
there's just a quick "G" not to mention another "G" in other bits and pieces
